Announcing the launch of Gunboat 72.02 Layla!

We’re excited to introduce the latest addition to the Gunboat fleet, our second Gunboat 72!

Each new boat is also an example of our unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of both performance and cruising, making our clients’ sailing dreams a reality. Layla is a stunning example of a cruising-optimized Gunboat and was designed with extensive Mediterranean and Caribbean cruising in mind. Let’s take a closer look!

Disrupting the definition of a flybridge multihull

At Gunboat we make no compromise on performance engineering and precision boatbuilding using high quality, proven materials and equipment - producing high functioning, rugged, oceangoing yachts that you have the ability to command with confidence on the seas. Beyond the pure enjoyment of it, the speed and optimal handling of a Gunboat open up more options to go where you want, when you need to - and capability to handle a wider range of conditions.

The Gunboat 72 features a unique cabin house designed for maximum real estate for the flybridge while maintaining the signature, sleek lines of the Gunboat series. The optimized hull shape and rigid, ocean going structures deliver a strong, reliable platform with exceptionally smooth sailing motion. The 72 is designed with long, high aspect daggerboards and a high performance rig plan including a carbon wing mast and furling headsails for easy short-handed sailing.

Elevated Sailing

Command the seas from the flybridge! The passion for sailing takes on a carefree nature on the 72 with helm stations and centralized sail controls at your fingertips. On Layla, the flybridge will surely be a primary gathering space with unobstructed views and inviting lounge seating in close proximity to the sailing action.

Introducing Gunboat 72 Layla!

Each Gunboat is customized by her owner. Some unique characteristics of Layla include:

- Dual helm stations with all lines leading to a central sail handling plinth
- Custom aft deck kitchenette
- Custom starboard hull layout with two expanded VIP cabins and shared jack and jill shower
