Gunboat One Hundred Plus – Now You’ve Seen the Line
For six weeks this summer, we showed you everything but the line. In Cannes, we finally drew it. Here is what it means.

Six weeks of everything, except the one thing
This summer, GUNBOAT ONE HUNDRED PLUS arrived without a silhouette. We showed carbon, hands and material. We showed scale by contrast, and a single completed form: the PLUS sign. What we never showed was the boat itself.
Then, in September, at the Cannes Yachting Festival, the line appeared for the first time. Intact, and in full.
This article is for those who followed the signal over the summer, and for those arriving now. It is not a press release. It is the long version of a simple statement: a Gunboat beyond one hundred feet is still a Gunboat.
Why we held the line back
Most launches are a slow zoom. A detail, then a wider crop, then a three-quarter view, until the reveal is the last frame of a film everyone has already guessed. We chose the opposite.
Holding the line back was a matter of respect. Respect for the design, first. A line drawn for a one-off boat deserves to be seen whole, in its proportions, not reverse-engineered from fragments posted online.
Respect for the people who will commission these boats, too. The first conversations took place in private, before anything was public. Prospects and brokers were never spectators of the campaign. They were a step ahead of it.
And finally, it was a matter of stance. A brand that has spent two decades proving what a performance catamaran can be has no need to over-explain. It can afford silence. The PLUS sign carried that silence all summer: a mark drawn from navigation, closer to a navigation landmark or a position plotted on a chart than to a mathematical symbol, signing every piece without a word.

What the line says
Going beyond one hundred feet in a multihull has traditionally meant a compromise. More length usually brings more weight, more volume, more inertia. Performance becomes a memory of the smaller boats, and the design follows the accommodation rather than the water.
The profile seen in Cannes says the opposite. It is light where you would expect heavy. It looks fast where you would expect settled. At this scale, size does not add marble. It adds horizon.

That is not a styling choice. It comes from the same discipline that shaped every Gunboat before it. Weight is treated as the core performance driver, and it will be tracked transparently, stage by stage, from hull components to launch, with reports shared with the owner's team. Nothing is added without a reason to be there.
Luxury, at this scale, is not volume. Our ONE HUNDRED PLUS range aims for a truly world-class level of finish, drawing on the best designers, builders and fit-out specialists in each field. But it keeps the Gunboat obsessions intact: attention to weight, sailing prowess and beautiful lines. Fast Sailing has always come first. Full Living simply gets more room to breathe.
The Gunboat 120, a proof, not a model
The boat shown in Cannes carries a name, the Gunboat 120, but it should not be read as a catalogue entry. It is a proof of concept: a buildable, full-custom performance cruising catamaran that demonstrates one of the many directions the yard can take at this scale.
Its role is to answer a question every serious owner asks first. Can Gunboat really do this? The 120 says yes, with drawings, engineering logic and a clear build approach behind it.
That approach rests on what Gunboat already knows. Since 2016, the brand has built its catamarans in France, from 68 to 80 feet, with a team of experienced engineers working around a single, centralised 3D model. For ONE HUNDRED PLUS, that core will be extended rather than replaced. Specialist partners in rig, systems, interiors and composites will join each project according to its scope, rather than a fixed supply chain imposed on every owner.

The result is a yard that will stay flexible where flexibility matters, and uncompromising where it does not. Every ONE HUNDRED PLUS will be a Gunboat first, and a one-off second.
A boat that begins with a conversation
Now that the line has been seen, the next one will not be ours to draw alone.
Every ONE HUNDRED PLUS will be built around a program. A long ocean crossing. An expedition base at the edge of the map. A season of Pacific cruising, or simply a family summer in the Mediterranean. No two will be alike, because no two owners sail the same way. Each boat will be custom-designed by Gunboat together with the design team the owner chooses.
So the first step is not a configuration sheet. It is a conversation about how you sail, who sails with you, where you want to go and how fast you want to get there. The drawings come after.

Since Cannes, that conversation is open. We are inviting the owners who would like to shape the very first ONE HUNDRED PLUS projects with us. Their number will be deliberately limited, because a one-off deserves the full attention of the people who build it.
We do not sell a yacht. We build yours. Thirty metres. Still a Gunboat.
